Way back in January, John brought up the possibility of our family doing a missions trip somewhere. Our friend, Tony Brewer, who was the director of the adoption agency we used to get out kids, had moved his family to Viet Nam 11 years ago and began a ministry called Orphan Voice. He had always envisioned kids adopted through "A Helping Hand" coming to Viet Nam to give back to current orphans. He was arranging such a trip for this coming June. John suggested that was go. We all prayed and discussed for a couple of weeks the question as to whether we should go. We eventually came to an unanimous decision that we should go.
We started our journey on June 6th.
Seoul, South Korea....
The trip was excruciating. 2 hours to Minnesota, 14 hours to Seoul, and 5 hours to DaNang. Abbey watched 7 full movies! The rest of us tried to sleep, but were really not very successful at it! The Lord granted us travel mercies, though and we made all of our flights(with a close call from Seoul to Danang).
Then the rubber hit the road..."Toto, we aren't in Kansas anymore!"
