About his name. When God first stirred my heart to adopt again, I was reading my Bible and the name Elijah really resounded in my heart. I then thought that we needed to adopt a little boy and name him Elijah. The middle name is John's dad's name. He passed away several years ago. John was very close to his Dad and wanted to honor him. We chose to keep his Chinese name also, like we did for Abbey. We are still waiting to find out the meaning of his Chinese name.
I can't wait to get him home. It is so hard to have a face and know that he is getting older without me! My prayer when we began this adoption was that I would have this child home by the time they were 16 months old. With Abbey, I prayed to get her before she was 10 months old, and we got her at 9.5! God said, "Yes", that time. Maybe he will again? I know His timing is perfect and am trusting in that.
Congatulations!!!!! We joyfully anticipate Elijah's homecoming with you. He is truly precious in HIS sight. And Congratulations Glenda on a beautiful blog to document your MARVELOUS family!! You all are so dear to us and we are thankful to God for allowing our adoption journeys to bring our families together.
ReplyDeleteMuch love,

Praise God ~ One "A" down, three more to go (LOA, TA, CA)! I'm joining you in prayer that you'll be with Elijah before he is 17 months!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
ReplyDeleteHe is too cute!
I have a question for you. When you travel would you be willing to carry a little (5x7ish) photo album to the orphanage/director? I send them one every year with pictures of our Foshan baby and try to have it hand delivered to insure they get it.
