January 28th a visit to See Beth, Greg, Evie and Jude

John had to work in Charlotte, so we tagged along and visited Beth and her family.

Everyone loves "Aunt Abbey"

Jan. 26th

So the kids got to go to Taco Bell, and I got to go to Poole's Diner. The chef at Poole's Diner won National Chef of the Year and John, Jr. got us a gift card to eat there for Christmas. It was really crowded, being a tiny place. We enjoyed our dinner and plus we can say we ate at an award winning chef's restaurant! A very thoughtful gift on John, Jr's part!

Jan 26th, first time at Taco Bell

Yes, believe it or not, Abbey and Elijah were so deprived, they had to wait 12 and 13 years to eat at a Taco Bell. After hearing about Taco Bell repeatedly, John agreed to take them after church.

Their reaction....they loved it!! So much for a discrimination palate?

Silas makes his arrival...Jan. 7-9th, 2020

I met Anna and Jamie and brought the girls home with me. Anna was going to the doctor and was hoping they would strip her membranes.

Abbey and Elijah had CBS and SNAP co op. I took the girls to see Frozen II.

 Then we made cookies.

On Thursday afternoon, around 4:00, I got a text from Jamie with this picture and the words, "Waiting for the ambulance"

Yep, this guy delivered his son, Silas Knox Sanchez

They had eaten Taco Bell, and she thought she had to go to the bathroom. Once in the bathroom, it was apparent that Silas was coming...right then!! She screamed for Jamie and he delivered Silas. The ambulance took 40 minutes to get there.
Silas was 7lb 9oz and 21 inches long, completely healthy and born in his mom and dad's bathroom!

The girls were dying to see their new brother, (and Mimi and Papa were wanting to meet their new grand baby).

They stayed for a day or two more to give Anna time to recuperate just a little bit. And then we set off for Pfafftown.

Silas is a beautiful baby. He was so alert, gazing at us. We love this new little baby boy! He's a gift from God. You can bet his sisters adore him. I can't wait to see him grow!
