Paris day 7,~April

We spent this entire day sight seeing in Paris. We started early and went until dark. What a lovely day! The weather started out a bit stormy looking, but ended up being gorgeous. I'll explain the pics that I can recall, but some of them I've forgotten why I took them.

Our first stop was the Eiffel Tower. We paid the major moulah price to go to the very top!

Most places we went were patrolled by armed guards.. a bit unnerving!

 The Seine River

 From the second floor....

From the top... notice the bars

Next it was onto Les Invalides

 Where Napoleon is buried

There is a huge museum devoted to war and France. We didn't pay to go in.

I think this is where Marie Antionette was imprisoned

 Le Pont Neuf

Notre Dame Cathedral, an absolutely amazing place, inside and out!

 Selfie fail...
 Success finally!

This place looked beautiful and important, but I never found out what it is?

Yes, they really do have flower stands on the side of the road.

I think this it La Sorbonne

Rodin worked and lived here for a bit

the square where Marie Antionette was beheaded.

Paris Opera House. There was a terrorist knifing here about a week after we were here.

Moulin Rouge. (we were going to get off here and get something to eat, but decided against it when we saw what the whole area was devoted to)

Le Sacré-Coeur

A delicious treat at my favorite French place La Boulangerie!

Heading back to our home away from home
Car dealership on the Champs D'Elyses

We then went to a dinner close to our hotel, a short walk and then to bed to get ready for our O dark thirty trip to Normandy.
