The Sprinkle Queen has toned it down a bit

We had our annual cookie decorating party with OAKS the other day.

Every year we gather together, the kids play, decorate cookies and we eat lunch together.

I went expecting Abbey to consume almost a whole bottle of sprinkles, but to my amazement, she didn't use many sprinkles at all.

She started off meticulously putting on the icing.

And then quite conservatively, she only used a tasteful (pun intended) amount of sprinkles

Proud of her work

I guess not going overboard with the sprinkles is a four year old skill, simply too difficult for a three year old!

Elijah also participated. He enjoyed the decorating....

Until some icing got on his hand

Still not sure what all the fuss is about...but here is my cookie.

Christmas Cherub

  1. I'm so impressed with Abbey's self control. Apparently she passed the lack of it down to Darcy who happily picked up the 'too much is better' torch...

  2. Looks like so much fun! Why is everything better with sprinkles?! :>) Also enjoyed Kristi's comment. Thanks to Darcy, world sprinkle balance has been restored. HAAA!!
