Checking out the "fishies"

This spring, the UNCW swim team parents held a season-end picnic to honor the team. We traveled to Wilmington to participate. It was supposed to be a fun-outdoor event, but the weather apparently didn't get that memo. It was boo-chilly! Because it was so cold outside, we decided to visit an indoor attraction--the aquarium.

Abbey was so excited to be able to touch sea creatures. The museum was quite crowded, so we went to the touch tank first.

Elijah, being Elijah, wasn't too keen on touching sea creatures. He's more of a look, but not touch, kind of guy.

After the aquarium, we went for a short walk at the beach.

The best part of the whole day, of course, was getting to see and spend time with my D boy! He went with us to the aquarium, beach and then out to eat.

It was a good day!
