High School State Championship

Daniel finally achieved one of his goals last night. Thanks be to God!! He competed for his high school at NC's High School State Championship. He got the Jr. National B cut for 100 breast. His time was 100.43. So, when he goes to Jr. Nationals he will be able to swim all of the breast stroke events. His morning prelim swim wasn't his best and he only made it to the "B" final. His prelim swim, though, was faster than a swimmer in the "A" final, so his time placed him 8th in the state. His medley relay got disqualified, though. They would have swam in the "A" final. His free relay placed 3rd and set a new school record. He's grateful to have that time standard achieved and now it's back to the pool for more intense workouts. We're really proud of him and greatly appreciate all the prayers.
