Wonderful things often come in small packages

Our little boy, is just that...little and wonderful. I think he has gained some weight since we have been home, but he is still very tiny. Not so much height wise, but weight wise. 9 month old sized clothes are a little short, yet fall off of him.
Notice the safefy pin on the sides, and they still fell off.

But, what he lacks in size he makes up for in personality. He is really a sweet little boy...when he gets what he wants. When he doesn't, then he lets you know about it. Sleeping during the day is the main issue. He refuses to do it, unless he is being held or in the car seat. He does sleep through the night, with a few outbursts. These outbursts are really costly to Abbey, who shares his room. We are still struggling with keeping her in her room all night. Some nights it is like we are playing musical beds. I never know where I'm going to end up. We have made progress in the area of sleep, but we still have a ways to go.

But, who can resist this face?
or this?
He can now drink from a cup. When we first got him, he had no clue what to do with it.

The cabinet beloved by all toddlers!

Abbey is doing pretty well. The disobedience has gotten better.(there is a correlation between the amount of sleep and obedience). She also has been seen giving Elijah a toy or a kiss on the head. Then, the next minute, she will "accidently" bump into him and make him fall down.

"Let me tell you a secret."

She has started this little trick with her Daddy. She goes and wraps those arms around his neck, gets her face close to his and says, "You're my fella!" Who could resist? Certainly not John!

Beth brought her a Cinderella costume when she came home last. Abbey has worn that dress almost nonstop since then. It has gotten caught in the bicycle pedals, had mud on it, the hem has been torn and egg has been drizzled on it. Everyday, she insists on wearing it, and if her behavior is good, she gets to watch the movie. It is so cute to see her dancing to the movie with her costume on.
